Ingredients:


. 4 slices of bacon, diced

. 1 large onion, diced

. 2 cloves of garlic, minced

. 2 cups of diced potatoes

. 2 cups of chopped clams (fresh or canned)

. 2 cups of fish stock or clam juice

. 2 cups of heavy cream

. 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste

. 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:


1.In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. 

. Remove the bacon from the pot and set it aside.

3. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

4. Add the potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.

5. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
Slowly pour in the fish stock or clam juice and heavy cream, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

6. Add the chopped clams and bring the soup to a simmer.

7. Simmer for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

9. Ladle the chowder into bowls and garnish with chopped parsley and crispy bacon.
